Amethyst Gemstones for Sale
Amethyst Gemstones for Sale
Amethyst is fairly rare in Colorado and we normally do not stock much amethyst or citrine because it is so common and so many dealers carry it in standard sizes and cuts. An exception to this can be collector-type stones from unusual localities.

Amethyst, light/medium purple, Portuguese pear shape, 21x30x17 deep mm,  52.39 cts, SI to VSI, Halleleujah Junction, Nevada. Has one light veil that doesn't distract or affect brilliance. Your chance to own a very rare American amethyst from Halleleujah Junction, Nevada, a collector's item for sure. This locale has produced some of the largest gem amethysts in No. America. They tend to be on the lighter side, but beautiful pinks. This is probably the best color of any pieces I have left, and is a good strong medium. Would make a gorgeous pendant, or keep as is as a collector's piece to treasure forever. There are just not many of these around. $1,309.75 (Stock #AMPP-5239)
Amethyst, light/medium purple, Portuguese oval, 19.5x32x14deep mm,  53.45 cts,  EC, Halleleujah Junction, Nevada. Another great collector's stone I just finished from an old stash I had. From the world-famous locality at Hallelujah Jct. The amethyst form in sceptured quartz heads with smoky quartz, on smoky quartz stems, and can be quite large. This one is a nice medium pinkish purple, almost as nice as the one above. Would make a nice pendant or just to put away in your collection. $1069.00 (Stock # AMPO-5345).
Amethyst, light/medium purple, Portuguese rectangular scissors shape, 20.5x30.5x 15.5 deep mm,  73.13 cts, EC, Halleleujah Junction, Nevada. Yet another from the old Hallelujah Jct. locality in Nevada, this one is a little bit lighter in color. Still, a pleasant color and clean for such a large piece. How many amethysts do you see this large, particularly from a classic American locality? $731.30 (Stock # AMPS-7313)
Amethyst, checkerboard trillion cut, 2.25 cts, Good medium-dark color with good red. SI. Approx. 9 mm. Expertly cut in Sri Lanka.$22.50 (#AMPT-0225)
Amethyst, Siberian purple, 5.05ct., checkerboard rectangle, VSI to EC, 7.6x14.6mm, unknown locality.
Very dark purple amethyst showing deep flashes. Has cut corners, will fit in an emerald cut mounting.
$126.25(Stock #AMPR-0505)
Amethyst, Congo, new batch! Color is dark purple with red flash, similar to the amethyst (5.05 ct ) above, close to true Siberian. Most will contain minor inclusions, but the inclusions usually hide really well. It also helps identify them as natural gems, instead of one of the synthetics coming from Japan and elsewhere. Several are available for about $20/ct. Many have not yet been cut, and will be added as they become ready. If you are interested in having one cut special for you, pklease contact us.
Please note: Much effort has been made in the attempt to get as accurate a picture as possible of our gemstones. Please keep the following in mind while shopping: Cameras do not see color exactly the same as the human eye and lighting conditions often cause large variances. When taking pictures for the web, we have found that it is very difficult to capture the brilliance that the human eye sees and photos cannot often show all of the stones' ambiance and jewelry pieces' fine detail. Also computer monitors vary and often color tones are set to suit the viewer's preferences. When shopping, remember that "the pictures are meant as a rough guide only." All our products have a money-back guarantee (see terms above) so there is no risk in ordering from the Buena Vista Gem Works.

To order, simply drop us an email or use our order form to check on the availability of the piece(s). or information on our acceptable payment methods, guarantee, shipping costs, and shipment reference see our Terms & Conditions page.
